Sewing the darts

Follow these easy steps to sew the darts.

1. Begin by marking the dart notches with small cuts into the seam.

2. Mark the dart point using the sharp tip of a sewing stiletto.

3. Fold the fabric along the dart's centerline, aligning the marked notches and the dart point. Secure the fabric with pins, starting from the dart's notches, and ending 5/8" (1.5cm) past the dart point.

4. Stitch along the dart line, starting at the notches and tapering to a point at the dart's end. Backstitch to secure it.
